????According to the Qingdao Jiaodong international airport construction 5-year tackling plan, 2017 is the main construction-tackling year. Up to now the new airport project has used CNY 9 billion investment. The terminal area, flying area, supporting facilities area and transportation exchange center area have sealed roof. The main construction of terminal area has completed 80% of total construction, decoration project is expected to launch within 2017, wall decoration phase I will be completed in 2017.
????One distinguished feature of the new airport is the bullet train station crossing the whole area. In the future, the Jinan-Qingdao express railway and Qingdao metro 8 will establish a station beneath the terminal building of the new airport. The cross zone of the bullet train currently is under construction and planned to complete the main body construction of the whole project by the end of June, and underground construction of the bullet train and wall decoration of the interchange center is expected to complete before the end of 2017.
