????The open-minded Qingdao is becoming the choice of more and more foreign friends. Matthew Bruno, American and 40 years old this year, has accomplished his dream of entrepreneurship in Qingdao.
????Matthew, who was born on October 1977, is from Long Island, the State of New York in America. 14 years ago he came alone to Qingdao. At the beginning he worked in a Qingdao school as English teacher. By chance Matthew learned that the upstream insurance company of DPG, the insurance company where he used to work in America unfortunately closed down. DPG needed within a very short period of time to transcribe over 10,000 policies to the system of another insurance company and in addition it was necessary to develop rapidly a process mode to manage renewal business of policies, which would expire every month. Matthew who had some knowledge about China immediately advised Andrew, the CEO of DPG, to outsource the policy transcription work to Qingdao and quickly submitted a detailed report. In the report, he has made comprehensive cost analysis including labor and office rent for service outsourcing in Qingdao. Matthew stroke while the iron was hot. He took 3 weeks and transcribed all the policies in 6 large fields to the new insurance company system. Hence, the DPG Company gave consent to him to build up a small-scale backstage service operation center. On August 2004, the Resource Pro Data Technology Co., Ltd. wholly funded by the American DPG Group was formally registered and established in Qingdao. From then on, Matthew made a splendid transformation from an employee to entrepreneur.
????Since the company was founded, both the number of employees and profit of Resources Pro have increased by 20% to 30% every year. Currently it has established 4 overseas delivery centers respectively in the District Shinan, District Huangdao, Qingdao, New and High-tech Zone of Jinan and Bangalore, Indian. In addition, the total number of employees in the world reached 2,350 and there are 255 customers with agreements. So far the company occupies over 65% of insurance outsourcing market share and becomes the genuine industrial leader.
????Matthew said: “Qingdao can provide favorable conditions for the service outsourcing industry, including enormous support from the government, good supporting facilities in the park, sufficient talent pool. As Qingdao gets more and more internationalized, the broader development space we will have.”
????Matthew is so excited to know that Qingdao was designated as the demonstration Chinese city for service outsourcing in 2016. He said, “We have made our own contribution. With this trophy, we are filled with confidence for the future development.
