A Few Words about Li Xiaohua, the Newsrea

Li Xiaohua, 38, a native of northwestern province of Shaanxi, earned his BA
degree in English in 1989 from Xi'an Foreign Studies University in Xian, capital
of Shaanxi Province, and MA degree in English in 2000 from Peking University in
Beijing. Currently Li works as an associate professor and the Acting Dean of the
Foreign Languages College (FLC), Qingdao University of Science and Technology
(QUST) in Qingdao, Shandong.
Li showed a keen interest in English language as early as in middle school
days, and was admitted to college with 98 points out of 100 in the English
subject due to his hard work at English. In the course of his undergraduate
studies, Li tuned his sharp ears everyday to the English programs on BBC World
Service, and tried hard to imitate the accent, which helped him to speak English
fluently with a perfect British accent. In his 15-year long teaching career, Li
has been teaching at college, among other courses, English Phonetics, for which
he wins high praises from both native speakers and his colleagues.

1989年畢業(yè)于西安外國語學院英語系，獲文學學士學位。2000年畢業(yè)于北京大學英語系，獲文學碩士學位。現任教于青島科技大學外國語學院，副院長，副教授。
中學時就鐘愛英語，高考英語取得高分98分（滿分100分）。大學期間，四年如一日堅持收聽、模仿BBC英語節(jié)目，練就了一口標準的英式英語（RP）。長期以來，任高校英語專業(yè)語音課教師，深受專家和同事的好評。
